I sat out a while on a sunny day, asking the Gods and Goddesses to help inspire a formula that would be appropriate for honoring them and sacred connection with them during this special time of the year. This is what the Shining Ones showed me! I have tried it and it was quite delicious :)
Looking forward to sharing it with our kindred at Midsommarstad observances and celebration this Sunday!
*Best to use organic ingredients
1 2/3 TBSP Dandelion (could be dried root or fresh flowers- I used both!)
Just under 1 ½ fresh oranges, wedged
9 whole fresh, hand-picked strawberries, left uncut
1 ¾ TBSP Lemon balm
9 dried chamomile flowers
½ TBSP rosemary
¾ tsp. lemon thyme
Just over 1/8 cp. Local honey
Just under 1 gal. filtered water (free of local tap water elements)
Make sure to use fresh, local (as much as possible) fruit, and herbs can be dried or fresh- the more grown personally the better.
Instructions:
Fill wide-mouthed glass gallon jar with all ingredients and set on earth/sacred energy spot in sunlight for a minimum of 3 hrs. and a maximum of 9 hrs. Strain, stir, cool or add ice, and enjoy. (Note the longer it sits the more bitter notes you might detect in the taste from the orange rind).
Bless at a sacred spot to make it Sacred Midsommarstad Tea, but it is perfectly fine to use the recipe any time as a regular Sun Tea recipe :)
